Physiotherapy
Kieran incorporates a variety of approaches in to his physiotherapy.
His primary focus is to use his orthopaedic medicine skills to diagnose the specific tissue or tissues that are causing pain. From here movements are assessed to establish if there is a movement that can reduce your symptoms. Further assessment determines which muscles may need strengthening or stretching to improve function.
This assessment is layered with an assessment of functional movement.
These assessment findings are then analysed until Kieran understands what is causing any symptoms.
Treatment may use a variety of modalities;
Hands on: massage, mobilisation, manipulation, deep transverse frictions, reflex stimualtion, trigger pointing.
Hands off: self mobilisation, exercises, stretches, ELDOA (LOADS), neural glides, taping.

“I went to see Kieran as I had seen him work with others and thought he may be able to help me with my back pain I’ve had on and off for over 20 years. I was very impressed with the thorough nature of the initial assessment. Kieran explained what all his findings meant and was able to show me a couple of stretches and exercises, which helped control my pain straight away. The program he prepared was very thorough and within a couple of weeks my pain was gone. If I don’t do my exercise program the pain occasionally comes back but I can sort it out by doing the exercises again”
